Motonobu Tezuka Wiki

Motonobu Tezuka is Japanese mixed martial arts fighter born in Nagano, Japan on August 29, 1987. Tezuka has been training in various martial arts such as karate and judo and he is also a purple belt in jiu-jitsu.

Tezuka mad his MMA debut on September 3, 2005 where he fought Takuro Nishimura to a draw. Afterwards he went on a 3 fight win streak defeating 3 different opponents by split decision in Powergate. Tezuka tasted his first defeat in Powergate too, as he lost by submission in 1:27 of the second round to Soyu Tanabe.

Tezuka then made his Pancrase debut at Rising 7 fighting Yuki Uejima to a draw on September 30, 2007. After making his Pancrase debut, Tezuka began fighting around various organizations in Japan finding mixed results before entering the DEEP Future King Tournament 2009.

Tezuka went on to defeat Yudai Aoyama, Koji Nakamura, and Yoshiyuki Ishikawa to win the DEEP Future King Tournament 2009 before making a full time return to Pancrase

On March 22, 2010, Tezuka made his return to Pancrase where he was very successful in with an 8-1 record with his only lose coming by a split decision loss to Shintaro Ishiwatari

Riding a 3 fight win streak, Tezuka was contacted and signed by the UFC. His time in the UFC was a rather unpleasant and unsuccessful one however as he lost a split decision to Alex "Bruce Leroy" Caceres at UFC on FUEL TV 6i in Macao, China in his debut and a unanimous decision to Vaughan Lee at UFC on FUEL TV 7 in London, England. Due to back-to-back loses, Tezuka was cut from the UFC.

Following his disappointing time in the UFC, Tezuka returned to Japan where he would next fight at Pancrase 247 against Taichi Nakajima. Tezuka would end his two fight losing streak by earning a a unanimous decision victory over Nakajima. Tezuka would find trouble in his last bout of 2013, however, when he was defeated by Yuta Nezu via a unanimous decision at Vale Tudo Japan: VTJ 3rd.

Tezuka would next travel to South Korea for his fight at Road FC 14 on February 9, 2014 against Soo Chul Kim. Tezuka would lose the fight via TKO in the first round.

Tezuka's fight at Grachan 13 against Kensaku Nakamura would end in a majority draw, setting up a rematch between the two for Grachan 14: Mach Matsuri. Tezuka would win this time around, defeating Nakamura by unanimous decision.

Tezuka's next three fights took place under the HEAT banner. His first two fights with the promotion went well, as both were victories on the same night. At HEAT 33 he defeated Alan Yoshihiro Yamaniwa via Anaconda choke, and then beat Kazume Sone with a triangle choke in his next fight.

At HEAT 34 Tezuka's three fight win streak was broken when he dropped a majority decision to Takeshi Kasugai. Following this, Tezuka returned to Grachan at Grachan 16 where he defeated Takeshi Numajiri via TKO.

Tezuka would next compete on June 21, 2015, at Vale Tudo Japan: VTJ in Osaka. His opponent for the night was Daisuke Endo, who went on to defeat Tezuka via split decision.
