Gael Grimaud is a french mixed-martial artist, born on 21th september 1979 in Reunion, a french Indian Ocean island. 

He started Judo at 7 years old. 

 
He is the current Cage Warrior welterweight Champion and trains in Amoussou's gym, Haute-Tension. 

He's improving a 15-5 record, but with french Pancrase fights , ground strikes are not allowed, he's at 17-5. 

Stopped one time by ko in M1 Challenge, never by subs, most of his wins came by submissions due to his Judo background.

 
After being beat up and controlled by Taylor's wrestling, Grimaud find an openning in the third round and won via Armbar to defend his Cage Warrior title on May 24th, 2012.
