Jorge Patino Wiki

A gruff veteran of the sport, Jorge Patino has seen it all in his 22 year career. Patino has earned 6 titles during that time with his two best being the Lightweight and Welterweight title for Legacy FC. Even though he was won many titles Patino has lost nearly all of his fights to mid level, high level and elite opponents, hovever he does have a respectable Grappling pedigree and works and Charles Oliviera's BJJ coach. "Macaco" won a gold medal and silver medal at the IBJJF Pan-American Championships (in 2000 and 1997 respectively) as well as a bronze at the CBJJ Brazilian National Championships in 2000 and was an original Chute Boxe member, where he is still somewhat involved with the gym today. Patino's fight style was characterized by his relentless hunt for the finish eagerness to trade with anyone. He was even able to maintain this style well into his 40s. Patino's most notable fights include his two brawls with former teammate and striking pioneer, Jose Landi Jons and his UFC title fight against Pat Miletich. Patino has also fought the likes of a debuting Jacare Souza, Kazuo Misaki, Delson Heleno, Luis Santos, Roan Carniero, Pete Spratt, Efrain Escuredo, Diego Ferriera, Luis Palomino, Islam Mamedov, João Zeferino, Alexander Sarnavskiy, Sabah Homasi and Gesias Cavalcante (Grappling). Patino has beaten Jacare Souza via stoppage, Pete Spratt via split decision and Efrain Escuredo via majority decision. Patino has not been active in MMA since 2017 having competed for the UFC, Pride, Strikeforce, Pancrase, WSOF, Jungle Fight, World Mecca Vale Tudo, International Vale Tudo Championships, Titan FC, Legacy FC, Cage Rage and DEEP.
